In Q2 2024, the iOS platform saw varying performances from the top tower defense games in the US. Data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a glimpse into the trends of these popular applications.
Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD by MY.GAMES B.V. experienced fluctuating revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at nearly $8.7M in late May. Weekly downloads remained relatively steady, averaging around 2K, with a notable spike to over 2K in early June. Active users showed a downward trend, dropping from 4.7K to 3.2K by the end of the quarter.
Watcher of Realms, from Shanghai Moonton Technology, saw its revenue peak at nearly $3.8M in late June, despite an overall decline in both downloads and weekly active users. Downloads hovered around the low hundreds, while active user counts ended the quarter with a slight increase to 367 from a low of 332 in mid-May.
TAP4FUN’s Kingdom Guard:Tower Defense TD witnessed a revenue high of over $3.3M in late May, but ended the quarter on a lower note at just above $900K. Downloads started strong at 1K but saw a decline to just over 500 by the end of June. Active users reflected a similar trajectory, dropping to 1.4K from a high of 2.4K at the quarter's start.

Lastly, PopCap's enduring Plants vs. Zombies™ 2 maintained a robust active user base, starting at 40K and growing to over 40K by the end of June. Revenue and downloads experienced ups and downs, with revenue peaking at $547K in mid-June and downloads reaching over 2.5K in the same month.
